The 10 Commandments have way more of an effect when written on pizza boxes…

This is a clip from the movie ‘The Invention of Lying’. Basically the premise of the movie is that human beings have not evolved the ability to lie except for this one man (played by Ricky Gervais). One of the effects of this ends up being that religion does not exist, so when his mom is on her death bed and fearing the thought of going into an eternity of nothingness, he consoles her by telling her about the afterlife, which everyone hearing this believes to be true, and so in effect turns into a prophet. Hilarity ensues…

All in all its a great idea for a movie, and pretty well executed (it kind of drags in the end but for the most part its pretty funny).
